I went in to get a Pioneer 8100NEX installed in my 2011 STi. Do not come here. I did all the research, talked to them, got an estimate. Brought in all the parts needed and showed them what I had, which is what they needed for the install per their own computer system. I come in for pickup after "install" and they made me actually pay WAY more than my estimate. The guy's reasoning? His partner gave me a "too good of a quote, so we need to make money". So they not only charged me for phantom parts needed for install, they also significantly increased labor cost!! Second, they damaged the center console (scratched off paint) and when asked about it he said it was always there. LOL yeah, ok, I would've noticed because it's huge and dead center in plain sight. He showed me a picture of it scratched on his phone, and I said yeah but you just took it after you damaged it! Straight up LIED to my face instead of apologizing. The scratch is absolutely from an interior trim puller except they did it on the wrong side of the console. So instead of reading how to pull the center console cosmetic cover off properly, he clearly winged it. Third they half assed the wiring on my rear back up camera. Instead of removing the back seat and carpet /panels, they left the seat in place and snaked the wire from the trunk to the side of the carpet where it meets the door jamb at the rear passenger door. I noticed this when I was starting to clean the car last weekend, and the carpet was pulled up with the wire exposed. So I pulled the panels, seat, and carpet myself and rerouted the cable correctly under the carpet so it didn't interfere with the panel clips near the door jamb. So once I did that the carpet sit flush no problem. Fourth, instead of wiring the head unit to the parking brake like you're supposed to they tried to by pass it and I have this stupid switch now coming out of the side of my center console. And they're bypass doesn't even WORK LOL, I keep getting a stupid error saying the parking brake is not connected as a reminder because they half assed all of it! I tried really hard to find a reputable car stereo installer in the city, and failed. I should've drove the extra hour to a real audio place. I got fooled by their pictures of exotic cars, thinking if they can work on those they can work on mine. Please do not make the same mistake I did. And do not come here!!
